Traditions

Last week the pupils of 2nd Batxillerat explained Kieran the traditions we celebrate in Catalonia. First of all, he explained briefly to use one of the traditions that he celebrates in Scotland. As it was autumn, he explained Halloween. Then, organized in groups of four, the students explained four of the most typical traditions: Castanyada and All Saints' Day, Christmas, Easter and St. George. With this oral activity we were able to show him the culture from here and we learned from his traditions. Also, we could practice our English by speaking with him.

Halloween Jokes

Last week we had Kieran (the Scottish boy) in the English class. First, we told English jokes to Kieran. Kieran listened to the jokes and he laughed. Then we played a Halloween bingo!! It was a funny bingo. Later, we played a quiz game about Halloween. Kieran asked the question and we wrote the answers in the paper. When we left the classroom, we had a smile in our mouths. We really had a good time with Kieran!!!
